84 10 700 Removing and installing/replacing base plate

Special tools required:

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE (ESD PROTECTION) .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Unclip connector housing (2) and disconnect plug connection (3).

Expose connecting line up to base plate.

If necessary press button (1) and remove cover (2).

Undo screw (3) using a T10 Torx screwdriver.

Lift the cover (4) at the front and remove towards the rear.

Installation note:

Replace damaged cover.

Make sure cover is correctly positioned.

Disengage base plate (1) on both sides of center armrest using special tool 00 9 340 .

Remove base plate (1) and feed out connecting line.
