17 11 100 Removing And Installing/Replacing Coolant Expansion Tank (N62)

Danger of scalding!

Only perform this work after engine has cooled down.

Recycling:

Catch and dispose of drained coolant.

Observe country-specific waste-disposal regulations.

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Drain COOLANT from radiator

NOTE:

Illustration shows E65.

Unlock plug (1) and remove.

Unlock and disconnect coolant hoses (2) and (3).

Release screws (1).

Remove coolant expansion tank (6) in direction of arrow.

Unlock and disconnect coolant hose (4) with tank (6) released.

Adding coolant:

VENT COOLING SYSTEM AND CHECK FOR LEAKS .
