41 61 014 Adjusting Hood Lid

NOTE: Gap dimensions BODY GAP DIMENSIONS serve as basis for adjustment work.

Moving the hinges later on makes unpainted surfaces visible.

Touch these up in the appropriate color.

Check stop screw of hood lid hinge on left and right.

Plastic head of stop screw must not be damaged or missing, replace hood lid hinge if necessary.

Slacken screws (1) on lock on left and right.

Parts must be able to be moved.

Loosen screws (1 and 2) on left and right hinges.

Hood lid must be able to be moved.

NOTE: If adjustment range is not sufficient, slacken retaining screws of hood hinge on body and move hinge.

Close hood lid slowly.

Locks and retaining hook must snap correctly into place.

Adjust engine hood.

NOTE: Height adjustment of hood lid to front wall:

Release screw (1) and remove cover (2).

Height adjustment by turning at closing hook (3).

NOTE: For height adjustment of hood lid to side panel at front, turn buffer stops in front wall on left and right.

CAUTION: Check function of retaining hook.

Tighten down all slackened screw connections again.
