51 12 156 Removing and installing rear bumper panel (from production date 08/2010)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove COVER ON WHEEL ARCH  from bumper panel

R56 only: 

• Loosen the UNDERBODY PANELLING  on the rear of the bumper panel

Release clip (1) on left and right.

Release screw (1).

Undo screws (1 and 2)

Pull off bumper panel (3) slightly towards rear with aid of a 2nd person.

Disconnect plug connections for rear fog light/ultrasonic sensor.

Remove the bumper panel (3).
