51 45 370 Removing and installing (replacing) left decorative strip on dashboard

Special tools required: 

• 00 9 317

Set steering wheel to its lowest position.

Undo and remove screws (1) from back of engine speed display (2).

Take engine speed display (2) and pull it toward the rear of the car.

Carefully unclip and remove finisher (1) from its attachment points (2) using special tool 00 9 317 .

(Shown with engine speed display removed for better clarity.)

Installation note: 

Make sure bolts are correctly located on decorative strip (1).

If necessary, replace defective clips.

Pull engine speed display (1) toward the rear of the car.

Remove decorative strip (2) upwards.
