41 51 080 Left Or Right Front Door Removal And Installation Or Replacement

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Release door brake from door pillar . See 51 21... RELEASING DOOR RETAINER FROM LEFT OR RIGHT DOOR PILLAR .

WARNING: Side airbag is installed in door trim panel: Disconnect battery . See 12 00... INSTRUCTIONS FOR DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY .

Release screws on connector frame.

Release screws between both hinge elements at top and bottom.

Unhinge door by moving upwards and placing it on a suitable surface.

Pull plug connection from door pillar, unlock by pulling out bar and detach.

IMPORTANT: During straightening work:
Do not release screws/bolts of side impact protection. Risk of damage to door.

Installation:

If necessary, adjust front door . See 41 51 004 ADJUSTING LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT DOOR .
