41 14 021 Front Left Wheel Arch Replacement

Spot-weld bonding is used for the first time on the E65. A specific procedure must be followed here.

Place vehicle on straightening bench.

Following new body parts are required:

(1) Diagonal strut
(2) Wheel arch, front
(3) Support carrier, wheel arch, outer

Open weld joints in areas (1).

Remove support carrier (2).

Installation information:

Apply repair welding spots to existing welding spots on new part. This is necessary because the adhesive between the spot flanges of the new part acts as an insulator.

Drill areas (2) for plug spot welding and weld diagonal strut.

Installation:

Adjust new part to fit with straightening attachment or universal mount.
