51 43 002 Removing and installing/replacing rear left or right side trim panel

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Unclamp cover (1) and remove.

Release screw (2) on end fitting.

Tightening torque 72 11 4AZ .

Release screw (1) on seat belt deflection.

Tightening torque 72 11 3AZ .

Release screws (1) and guide cover (2) over seat belt (3).

Tightening torque 72 11 17AZ .

Release latch mechanisms (1) and feed out cover (2) from seat belt (3).

Carefully unclip trim panel (1) from clamps (2) at top on the respective side only.

Installation note: 

Replace faulty clamps (2).

Lever out seal (1) from clip (2) and release screw underneath.

Release expanding rivet (3).

Release screws (4).

Tightening torque 51 43 4AZ .

Release side trim panel at clips (5) and feed out.

Installation note: 

Replace faulty retaining elements.

Ensure seal (1) is correctly seated.
