11 13 000 Removing and installing, sealing or replacing oil sump (N14)

Special tools required:

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Drain ENGINE OIL .
Protect exhaust system against oil contamination and cover with suitable materials, clean if required.

Unscrew oil sump bolts in area of line (1).

Tightening torque 11 13 2 AZ .

Remove bolt (1) above exhaust manifold using special tools 11 9 582 and 11 9 581 .

Clean sealing surface (1) with special tool 11 4 470 .

IMPORTANT: Do not remove sealing bead itself. Use a sharp knife to remove only the protruding or sticking-out parts of sealing beads (1).

Installation note:

Apply liquid gasket thinly and evenly.

Assemble engine.
