51 33 000 Removing and installing/replacing power window regulator in left or right front door

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove SOUND INSULATION 

Side window glass must be opened to dimension (A).

1. 145 mm

Carefully unlock window glass mounting clips (1) in direction of arrow.

Gently press side window glass upwards to snap retaining lug (2) completely out of side window glass bore hole (3).

Installation note: 

Check retaining lug (2) is correctly seated in bore hole for door window glass (3).

Slide door window glass (1) fully upwards and fix in the window frame with adhesive tape (2).

Slacken bolt (1).

Tightening torque 51 33 3AZ .

Release screws (4).

Tightening torque 51 33 2AZ .

Unfasten plug connection (3) and disconnect.

Installation note: 

Holder (2) must be correctly seated on inner door panel rail.

Removal of power window regulator:

1. Feed out left-hand window lift rail
2. Feed out right-hand window lift rail

Installation note: 

Make sure the guide lug (2) of the power window (1) is correctly seated in recess of door structure.

Concluding tasks: 

• Observe NOTES ON INITIALIZING POWER WINDOW REGULATOR

Replacement: 

Swap over FLAT MOTOR FOR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR .
