32 00 620 Adjusting rear axle
Special tools required:
- 32 4 200
NOTE:
A camber change always means a toe change as well. The camber must therefore be adjusted first.
If camber and toe-in are not adjustable within setpoint range: Troubleshooting at rear axle.
If camber and toe-in are not adjustable within setpoint range: Troubleshooting at rear axle.
Adjusting camber:
IMPORTANT:
Observe following sequence:
- Lift the vehicle (wheels off the ground)
- Slacken the screw (1).
- Twist the camber on the eccentric disc (2) towards the positive maximum (wheel positioned at maximum angle to the center of the vehicle at the bottom)
- Slightly tighten the screw (1)
- Lower and compress the vehicle
- Slacken the screw (1) and adjust the camber to the setpoint value by twisting the eccentric disc (2)
- Tighten down screw (1)
Installation note:
Tightening torque 33 32 2AZ .
Adjusting toe:
Slacken screws (1) and (2) about 1.5 turns on bearing support.
Mount special tool 32 4 200 on screw (2).
Turn special tool 32 4 200 and adjust toe-in to setpoint value.
Installation note:
Tightening torque 33 32 5AZ .
