52 26 ... Adjusting striker for rear seat backrest

Necessary Preliminary Tasks: 

Release backrest on left or right and tilt forwards.

Remove cover from lock striker.

Ideal adjustment of lock striker: 

Lock striker must engage correctly in lock.

Lock striker must not brush against the side of the backrest.

Adjusting 

Slacken screws (1) (do not release fully).

Adjust lock striker (2).

Tighten screws by hand.

Fold backrest up and check adjustment.

Repeat procedure until ideal setting is reached.

Tighten down bolts.

Tightening torque, refer to 52 24 1AZ in SEATS - TIGHTENING TORQUES - COOPER (1.6L) R50/W10 .
