61 31 029 Removing and installing/replacing roof operating unit

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD PROTECTION) .

Remove trims (1) in direction of arrow.

Installation note: 

Retaining lugs must not be damaged.

Unlock retaining lugs (1) with a suitable tool on both sides.

Remove roof operating unit (2) in direction of arrow.

Installation note: 

Retaining lugs must not be damaged.

Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect.

Remove roof operating unit (2).

Installation note: 

Make sure roof operating unit (2) is correctly seated.

Replacement: 

If necessary, remove BULBS .
