51 71 480 Removing and installing/replacing cross reinforcement

Special tools required:

00 9 120

IMPORTANT: Vehicles must not be driven without the cross reinforcement.
Driving without the cross reinforcement may damage the vehicle body.
Cross reinforcement bolts must be tightened to torque and then tightened down with special tool 00 9 120 .

Release bolts (2) on outer tension struts (1).

Installation:

Replace screws (2).

Tightening torque 51 71 2AZ .

Release bolts (2) on inner tension struts (1).

Installation:

Replace screws (2).

Tightening torque 51 71 2AZ .

Release bolts (2) on cross reinforcement (1) and remove cross reinforcement.

Installation:

Replace screws (2).

Tightening torque 51 71 2AZ .
