51 32 153 Adjusting front left or right side window inclination
Special tools required:
Requirements for correct adjustments:
- FRONT DOOR CORRECTLY ADJUSTED
- Car must stand on its wheels
To adjust, a special tool 51 0 350 is required.
Ideal setting, inclination (preload):
NOTE:
Inclination is checked with installed weather strip. Special tool (51 0 351) creates a gap for measuring preload. No force must be exerted on the door or door window glass during measurement.
Insert special tool (51 0 351) in rotary striker of door lock and press in up to end stop. Door window glass then moves fully to the top. Carefully leave door slightly open until magnet makes contact with striker.
Slide special tool (51 0 352) at distance (B) to door window glass side edge into gasket (1) and measure dimension (A) to outer edge of door window glass (2).
Dimension (A) with weather strip:

Adjusting inclination (preload):
Lever out caps (1).
Slacken screws (2)
Adjust inclination by shifting window lift rail (3).
Check adjustment. If necessary, repeat procedure.
