51 46 081 Removing and installing/replacing lower rollover protection panel

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Release outer screws (1) on rollover protection strut (2).

Installation:

Replace self-locking screws.

Tightening torque, 54 62 2AZ .

Unclip lower trim (1) with plastic wedge. In so doing, position plastic wedge centrally.

Installation:

Retaining lugs must not be damaged nor must trim (1) be scratched.

If necessary, replace trim (1).

Trim (1) is encoded against incorrect installation.

Carefully unclip lower panel from upper panel along dashed line at front and rear (do not observe arrows in graphic).

Installation:

Retaining lugs on lower or upper trim must not be damaged.

If necessary, replace faulty trims.

Lever out clip (1).

Remove lower panel (2).

Installation:

Replace faulty clip (1).
