41 34 121 Replacing complete tail panel and luggage compartment floor

Refer to relevant service information in BODY, GENERAL .

Remove or cover those vehicle components in the repair area which are susceptible to heat or dust.

Use only approved SPOT-WELDING APPARATUS for repairs.

Observe procedures in REPAIR STAGE 3 .

Following new body parts are required:

Removal of luggage compartment floor:

Tail panel removal described under: REPLACING TAIL PANEL .

Open welded connections in areas (1).

View from vehicle underbody:

Open welded connections in areas (1).

Remove the luggage compartment floor.

Preparation of new part:

Open weld joints in areas (1) and remove cross-member (2).

Fit in new part.

Before welding in, also adjust TAIL PANEL and tailgate to fit.

Installation of luggage compartment floor:

Install new part and weld.
