41 12 535 Replacing Complete Rear Luggage Compartment Floor

Refer to relevant service information in BODY, GENERAL .

Remove or cover those vehicle components in the repair area which are susceptible to heat or dust.

Use only approved SPOT-WELDING APPARATUS  for repairs.

Observe procedures in REPAIR STAGE 3 .

The following new body parts are required:

Open weld joints in areas (1).

Cut rear trim outer skin in areas (2) underneath side panel flange. Cut only sheet on outside and underneath.

Roughly cut outer skin rear trim and remove.

Installation: 

Weld new components in areas (3) additionally.

Carry over the work step shown symmetrically to the other side of the vehicle.

Open weld joints in areas (1).

View from vehicle floorpan:

Open weld joints in areas (1).

Remove the trunk floor.

Preparation of new part: 

Carry over the work step shown symmetrically to the other side of the vehicle.

Open weld joints in areas (1) and remove reinforcements (2).

Preparation of new part: 

Open weld joints in areas (1) and remove cross-member (2).

Fit in new part.

Before welding in, also adjust tail panel and rear lid to fit.

Preparation of new part: 

Cut areas (1) similarly to cut made on car.

Fit in new part.
