23 14 550 Removing/replacing zero gear sensor

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
IMPORTANT: After installing the zero gear sensor, it is necessary to teach in the position of the zero gear sensor again.
The adjustment is performed using the "Service Function" of the BMW diagnosis system (learn/write the zero-gear sensor).

Undo bolt (1) and place coolant expansion tank (2) to one side.

(do not drain off coolant)

View from below.

Disconnect plug connection (1) on zero-gear sensor.

Release screws (1).

Remove zero gear sensor.

Tightening torque 23 14 2AZ
