51 45 370 Removing and installing (replacing) left decorative strip on instrument panel

Special tools required: 

• 00 9 317

Undo and remove screws (1) on the back of the rev counter (2).

Pull the rev counter (2) rearwards.

Carefully unclip decorative strip (1) with special tool 00 9 317 at retaining points (2) and remove.

(Illustration shows rev counter removed for greater clarity.)

Installation note: 

Make sure pins are correctly seated on trim strip (1).

If necessary, replace defective clips.

Pull the rev counter (1) rearwards.

Remove decorative strip (2) upwards.
