41 21 940 Left C-pillar partial replacement (side panel removed)

Refer to relevant service information in BODY, GENERAL .

Remove or cover those vehicle components in the repair area which are susceptible to heat or dust.

Use only approved SPOT-WELDING APPARATUS  for repairs.

Place vehicle on straightening bench.

The following new body parts are required:

• Support, C-pillar (see "1" in illustration)
• Reinforcement plate (see "2" in illustration)
• C-pillar, bottom inner (see "3" in illustration)
• Extension, side panel (see "4" in illustration)

Open weld joints in area (1).

Open weld joints in areas (1).

Remove C-pillar section.

Installation note: 

First weld reinforcement plate (1) and C-pillar (2).

Installation note: 

Weld new components in areas (1) additionally.

Preparation of new part: 

Adjust new parts to fit with straightening attachment or universal mount.
