72 11 033 Removing and installing/replacing front left or right seat belt

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Installation:

Powerlok screws (Duo Taptite) must be replaced and must not be reused
Powerlok screws (Duo Taptite) are mechanical thread fasteners with trilobular threads

Release screw (1).

Tightening torque 72 11 04AZ .

Release screw (1) and remove deflection bar (2) towards top.

Tightening torque 72 11 10AZ .

Release screw (1).

Tightening torque 72 11 02AZ .

Remove inertia reel mechanism (2).

Installation:

Coding (3) of inertia reel mechanism must be seated in opening of body.
