When replacing side member or cross member:
Replace self-tapping screws for mounting rear axle support on side member/cross member.
Replace self-tapping screws for mounting rear axle support on side member/cross member.
Necessary preliminary work
- Remove REAR AXLE SUPPORT
Graphic shows: R56, R55
Installation note:
Use previous rear axle support as a template for modifying or replacing small parts.
NOTE:

Modify stoneguard if necessary.

After installation
- Bleed braking system. See 3400048 BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM WITH ABS/ASC+T or 3400050 BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM WITH DSC
- Perform wheel alignment check. See 3200150 KDS CHASSIS/WHEEL ALIGNMENT CHECK WITH VEHICLE LOAD UP TO DESIGN POSITION or 3200155 KDS WHEEL ALIGNMENT CHECK WITH RIDE HEIGHT MEASUREMENT WITHOUT VEHICLE LOAD
