33 32 076 Removing and installing/replacing top left (or right) control arm

NOTE:
If the wishbone is detached from the rear axle support, it is necessary after reinstallation to carry out a chassis/wheel alignment check.
Necessary preliminary tasks
- Remove REAR WHEEL
- If necessary, remove spare wheel
- Remove underbody panelling
- Remove heat shield where necessary (on COOPER S on left and right)
Only on left side at ride-height sensor: Release screws (1) for bracket on control arm.
Installation note:
Tightening torque 37 14 5AZ .
Release nut and remove screw (2).
Tightening torque 33 32 1AZ .
Installation note:
Replace self-locking nut.
Tighten screw connection in NORMAL POSITION .
Unscrew nut (3).
Tightening torque 33 32 3AZ .
Remove screw and then remove control arm.
Installation note:
Replace self-locking nut.
Tighten bolt connection in NORMAL POSITION .
Replacement
- Modify stop buffer
After installation
