51 41 019 Removing and installing or replacing door handle on door trim, front left or right

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove COVER ON DOOR HANDLE 
• Remove SPEAKER

Version from 03/2012 with alarm system: 

• Remove MODULE FOR PASSENGER COMPARTMENT PROTECTION

If necessary, disconnect plug connection (1) on LED (2) and feed out cable.

Release screws (3).

Feed out door handle (4) and feed out associated cable.

If replacing version with light package: 

Remove LED for door trim lighting.

Release latch mechanisms (1) and remove fibre-optic conductor (2).

Install fibre-optic conductor (2) and LED in new door handle.
