Fitting 3 spacer buffers (spacers)

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
IMPORTANT: To avoid windscreen breakage and wind noises:

Completely remove remnants of removed spacer buffers (1) and maintain installation location exactly.

Stick semicircular spacer buffers (1) onto body flange.

If necessary, fit new RETAINING STRIP  (5) and RUBBER FRAME  (6), paying attention to center markings in the process.

Insert positioner (7) for retaining strip (5) must be removed after it has been fitted on the windscreen but before the windscreen itself is installed.

Perform the following steps carefully on the windscreen (1) using suction cup (special tool 51 3 010):
