41 11 513 Replacing cover for side member (partial replacement door pillar, front and rear side panels removed)

Place vehicle on straightening bench.

Following new body parts are required:

Mark cutting line in accordance with specified measurements.

Measurement a = 45 mm below center point of 12 mm dia. hole.

Measurement b = 105 mm below center point of 25 mm dia. hole.

Mark and cut cutting line (1) centrally in 12 mm dia. hole.

Cut outer plate only for severance cut.

Open welding spots in areas (1).

View from vehicle floorpan:

Open weld joints in areas (1) and (2).

Installation: 

Spot-weld bonding is used in area (2).

Observe specific procedure.

Preparation of new part 

Apply ADHESIVE  in areas (1).

Installation: 

Adjust new part to fit with straightening attachment or universal mount.
