41 62 014 Adjusting rear lid to fit

CAUTION: Do not damage adjoining body parts.

Minor corrections (realignment work) are permitted if the existing adjustment options are not sufficient.

Observe GAP DIMENSIONS .

The rear lid must be provided with all attachment parts for correct adjustment.

When door is closed, lock strikers must not make contact with or brush against rear lid locks. Look out for scratches.

Slacken lock striker, remove if necessary.

Slacken screws (1) until such stage that the rear lid can still be moved.

Adjust rear lid longitudinally.

Tightening torque 41 62 1AZ .

Slacken nuts (1) until such stage that the rear lid can still be moved.

Adjust rear lid sideways and vertically.

Tightening torque 41 62 3AZ .
