AUTOMATIC SOFT TOP/FOLDING SUNROOF TROUBLESHOOTING CHART

Fault	Cause	Movement	Remedy
Soft top/folding sunroof is not opening or closing	Battery voltage is < 10.5 V	opening and closing	Charging battery or run engine
	Outside temperature too low or too high	opening and closing	Set outside temperature between -10 °C and +80 °C
	Hydraulic pump motor temperature too high	opening and closing	Let hydraulic pump cool down with switched on ignition
	Terminal "R" not switched on	opening and closing	Switch on terminal "R", check fuse terminal "R"
	Soft top not unlocking	opening and closing	Unlocking the soft top (retaining hook) while technical defect is present
	Rear lid not closed	opening and closing	Close rear lid.
	Storage shelf is not set down	opening and closing	Storage shelf must be in contact with the microswitch
	Convertible top in motion - speed > 4 Km/h	opening and closing	Slow vehicle to below 4 Km/h
	Folding sun roof in motion - speed > 120 Km/h	opening and closing	Slow vehicle to below 120 Km/h
	Do not lower front side windows	Open	Lower side windows slightly
	Do not lower back side windows	Open	Completely lower side windows
	Fuses defective	opening and closing	Check fuses
	Leads interrupted	opening and closing	Refer to diagnosis
	Plug connections interrupted	opening and closing	Check plug connections, repair if necessary
	Control unit faulty	opening and closing	Refer to diagnosis
	Hall sensor fault	opening and closing	Hall sensor diagnosis; check correct position of folding sun roof sensors
