54 34 400 Removing and installing soft top wiring harness

NOTE: If the wiring harness is only partly damaged, only a new complete wiring harness should be used also for partial repairs.

Make sure the wiring harness is installed and secured correctly!

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Unlock and detach plug connections (1 and 2).

Unclip cable strap holder (3).

Unclip cable strap holder (1).

Cut open cable tie (1).

Carefully feed soft top wiring harness (2) out of soft top frame.

Installation:

Replace all cable ties.
Make sure soft top wiring harness is correctly routed
Do not twist or kink soft top wiring harness.
Make sure that entire wiring harness is not jammed in soft top frame or linkage.
Soft top wiring harness must not be under tension.
Carry out FUNCTION TEST
