12 32 501 Replacing regulator switch for alternator (N12, N14)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Disconnect battery negative lead  . See 12 00... INSTRUCTIONS FOR DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY .
• Remove alternator  . 

Release screws (1).

Remove cover (2).

Release screws (1).

Remove controller switch (2).

Check contact surfaces (1) of slip rings for wear and recondition if necessary.

Assemble alternator.

Carry out alternator test with diagnostic system.
