72 12 000 Removing and installing or replacing airbag module on passenger side

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove instrument panel upper section trim. See 51 45 050 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING INSTRUMENT PANEL UPPER SECTION TRIM .

Version A

Unscrew nuts (1).

Installation:

Replace nuts.

Tightening torque 72 12 1AZ .

Remove airbag module from instrument panel.

Version B

Unscrew nuts (1).

Installation note: Replace nuts (1). Tightening torque 72 12 9AZ . Remove holder (2) for airbag module.

Unscrew nuts (1).
