62 10 100 Removing and installing/replacing steering column rev counter

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Disconnect NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE .
• Remove LOWER TRIM FROM INSTRUMENT PANEL .

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Unlock plug housing catch at plug connection holder.

Detach plug housing from plug connection holder.

Release screws (1) on back of rev counter (2) and remove.

Pull rev counter (2) in opposite direction to direction of travel and remove.

Installation: 

Make sure rev counter wiring harness is correctly laid.

Replacement: 

Carry out PROGRAMMING/ENCODING .
