51 21 140 Removing and installing/replacing complete lock cylinder in left or right front door

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove outside handle on front door  . 

Partially raise window cavity cover strip and release screw (1).

Tightening torque 51 21 3AZ. 

Release screws (2).

Tightening torque 51 21 4AZ.

Position door lock (1) downwards a little.

Feed out lock cylinder (2) in area (A) and remove.

Installation: 

Paddle (3) must be correctly inserted in door lock (1).

Installation:  Make sure door lock is in the correct position when installing the paddle. Notch (1) must be located at the marking (2).

Installation: 

Paddle (1) on lock cylinder (2) must not be damaged or missing.
