51 47 151 Removing and installing/replacing left or right luggage compartment wheel arch trim

Special tools required: 

• 00 9 317  . See MAINTENANCE AND GENERAL INFORMATION - SPECIAL TOOLS -- S CLUBMAN .

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove trim from rear apron   .
• Remove capping in luggage compartment   .

Unclip covers (1).

Release expansion rivets (1).

Fold luggage compartment wheel arch trim (2) at top inwards and disconnect associated plug connections.

Feed out luggage compartment wheel arch trim (2).

Installation: 

If necessary, replace faulty expander rivets (1).

Replacement: 

• Modify power socket (1)
• Modify tank release pull knob (2)
• Modify luggage compartment light  . See 63 31 080 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT .
