41 14 503 Replacing rear right outer wheel arch section (side panel removed)

Refer to relevant service information in BODY, GENERAL .

Remove or cover those vehicle components in the repair area which are susceptible to heat or dust.

Use only approved SPOT-WELDING APPARATUS  for repairs.

The following new body parts are required:

Removal of the outer wheel arch section: 

Mark severance cut (1) in accordance with measurement and cut.

A = approx. 20 mm

Open weld joints in area (2).

Mark severance cut (1) as pictured and cut.

Preparation of new part: 

Mark severance cut (1) in radius and cut.

Mark new part according to severance cut on car (2) + 20 mm additional material and cut (3).

Installation outer wheel arch section: 

Adjust new part to fit in area (1) between flange (2) and side panel extension (3).

Adjust new part in conjunction with side panel to fit.
