51 41 065 Removing and installing/replacing wooden strip on left or right door trim (front)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove upper section on armrest (front). Refer to 51 41 070 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING UPPER SECTION ON LEFT OR RIGHT ARMREST .

Release screws (1) on wooden strip (2).

Installation:

Tightening torque 51 41 5AZ. Refer to BODY EQUIPMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Lever wooden strip (1) out of door trim (4) as follows:

At rear lever guide (2) in direction of arrow out of mounting (3)
At front pull off in direction of arrow from door trim (4)

Installation:

Insert guides (2) of wooden strip (1) correctly into mountings (3) of door trim (4).

Installation:

Following parts of wooden strip (5) must not be damaged:

Guide (rear)
Bracket
Spacer
Guides (front)
