Disabling Air Bag System (Mazda6, Millenia, MPV, MX-5 Miata, Protege & Protege5)

NOTE:
MX-5 Miata is equipped with a passenger's air bag ON/OFF switch. Turning switch off is not a substitute for completely disabling the passenger's air bag.
- Obtain radio anti-theft protection code from vehicle owner prior to servicing vehicle or deactivate radio anti-theft function before disconnecting vehicle battery.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect and shield negative battery cable. WAIT at least ONE MINUTE for back-up power supply to be depleted.
