63 21 180 Removing and installing/replacing left or right rear light (saloon/sedan) Up to 09/2000:

Remove socket housing for rear light.

Release nuts and remove outer rear light.

From 09/2000:

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Release nuts (2) and remove outer rear light.

Only replace:

If necessary, convert or replace bulbs.

Installation:

Make sure rear light seal is correctly seated, replace if necessary.

Make sure there is a uniform gap all round between rear light and body side panel, gap approx. 2 mm.
