18 00 020 Removing and installing complete exhaust system (M62): Installation:

Check seals and replace if necessary.
Replace self-locking nuts.
Coat thread with copper paste.

Unfasten hex nut (1/2).

Remove complete exhaust system.

Cars with primary catalytic converter on exhaust manifold only:

Release hexagon nuts (1) on exhaust pipe on left and right.

Replace self-locking nuts.
Coat thread with copper paste CRC.

Release hexagon nuts (1) on rear axle carrier.

Remove exhaust bracket (2).

Remove complete exhaust system.
