13 54 030 Removing and installing/sealing throttle assembly (COOPER S)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Release clamp (1) and remove intake hose (2).

Unlock line (1) of tank venting valve on throttle assembly and disconnect.

Unlock plug (2) and remove.

Release screws (3).

Remove throttle valve assembly (4).

Tightening torque 13 54 1AZ. Refer to FUEL SYSTEM - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Installation: 

Replace sealing ring (1).

Installation: 

Check dowel pins (1) for damage and replace if necessary.

NOTE: A faulty throttle valve causes the adaptation values stored in the DME control unit to be modified. These adaptation values must be reset after the throttle valve has been replaced.

Replacement only:

Delete adaptation values and reset.

Connect diagnosis system:

NOTE: Now clear the fault memory.
