12 14 550 Replacing control unit (EMS) (COOPER S)

NOTE:
- Read out fault memory of EMS control unit
- Check stored fault messages
- Rectify faults
- Clear fault memory
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Switch off ignition
- Remove cover of EMS control unit
Release clips (1) and lift EMS control unit upwards.
Unlock plug connections outwards (2) and detach in direction of arrow.
Remove control unit.
Installation:
- Read out fault memory of EMS control unit
- Check stored fault messages
- Rectify faults
- Clear fault memory
Replacement only:
Program new control unit.
