11 40 000 Checking engine oil pressure

Special tools required:
- 11 8 360
- 13 3 061
- 13 3 063
- 13 6 051
- 13 6 054
NOTE:
To check engine oil pressure and oil pressure switch, install and connect special tools.
Unscrew oil filter cap; engine oil flows out of oil filter housing into oil sump.
If oil pressure is zero at idle, do not rev engine to 3000 RPM.
Installation:
- Replace sealing ring.
- Tightening torque 11 42 1AZ. Refer to ENGINE - TIGHTENING TORQUES .
Remove oil pressure switch.
Installation:
- Tightening torque, 12 61 1AZ. Refer to ENGINE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM - TIGHTENING TORQUES .
Install special tool 11 8 360 with sealing ring (1) in place of oil pressure switch.
Checking engine oil pressure with DIS Tester
Attach special tool 13 6 054 with sealing ring (1) and special tool 13 6 051 and connect to DIS Tester.
Checking engine oil pressure with pressure measuring instrument
Fit special tools 13 3 063 and 13 3 061 (pressure measuring instrument).
Start engine and check engine oil pressure.
