Securing engine in installation position with special tool (W10/W11)

Special tools required:

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Disconnect battery (W11), refer to 61 21 010 REMOVING AND INSTALLING BATTERY (COOPER S)

Install special tool 51 2 160.

Reduce excess pressure in cooling system.

Release screw (1).

Lay bracket for oxygen sensor to one side.

Release screw (2).

Release coolant line clamp (3).

Screw special tool 11 8 260 onto cylinder head.

NOTE: The water pipe is also secured to special tool 11 8 260 at the same time. See Fig 3 .

Assemble special tool 00 0 200 with special tools 00 0 201 / 00 0 202 / 00 0 205 / 00 0 207 / 00 0 209 and fit.

Assemble engine.
