52 17 010 Removing and installing or replacing both seat rails on left or right front seat (comfort)

Remove front seat, refer to 52 13 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT SEAT (NORMAL/MANUAL) .

Remove seatbelt tensioner, refer to SEAT BELT PRETENSIONERS .

Remove hose from lumbar support pump and disconnect connector.

NOTE: Brace hose connection on lumbar support pump with pincers (risk of damaging lumbar support pump).

Only Replace:

If necessary, cut through cable tie (1).

Unfasten detent (2). Twist lumbar support pump (3) downwards and pull backwards to remove.

Only Replace:

Unfasten screw and pull interior finisher forwards to remove.

Only Replace:

Unscrew screw. Lift outer finisher backwards and upwards and pull forwards to remove.

Remove connector (1), unlock detent lugs (2) and pull connector (3) backwards to remove. Remove wiring harness (4) from guide (5).

Unfasten screws and pull seat rails forwards to remove from seat frame.

Installation:

Replace screws (micro-encapsulation).

Tightening torque, refer to 52 10 6AZ in SEATS - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Front screws are longer than screws at back.

Unfasten screws and pull seat rails backwards to remove from seat frame.

Installation:

Replace screws (micro-encapsulation).

Tightening, refer to 52 10 6AZ in SEATS - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Screws at back are longer than screws at front.

Front Passenger's Seat Only:

Lift out detent (1) for left/right longitudinal seat adjustment.
