51 11 000 Removing and installing complete front bumper

Unfasten left/ right screws and lift out wheel arch finishers (1) from side.

Lever out expansion rivets on left/right and remove grill (1).

Release screws on impact absorber on left/right.

Installation  :

Tightening torque, refer to 51 11 2AZ in BODY EQUIPMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Version With Park Distance Control (PDC) And/Or Fog Lamps:

Pull bumper back a little.

Disconnect plug connection for fog lamps and/or PDC on left/right.

Remove bumper.

Version With Headlight Cleaning System:

Pull bumper back a little:

Detach lock and disconnect hose connection.

Remove bumper.

Installation  :

The height of the bumper is adjusted by turning the socket head cap screw.

Ideal adjustment:

Distance (A) must be the same all around between the bumper and body cutout.

Dimension (A) = 5 +/- 1 mm
