Vane Pump (ZF): Disassembly

Remove pump. On M52 and M54 engines see POWER STEERING VANE PUMP (M52/M54 ENGINE) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. On other engines, procedure is not available from manufacturer.
Remove pulley.
Mark bracket on pump housing. Unscrew bolts and take off body. See Fig 1.
Remove face plate (3). See Fig 2.
Press rotor (4) on shaft (5) in downward direction. Remove circlip (6) and pull shaft out of body. Remove rotor (4). See Fig 3.
Clean all parts thoroughly.
