Adjusting Front Axle (With KDS)

  1. Adjust toe and toe-difference angle. Set steering gear to straight ahead position. Marking on case and steering shaft must be aligned. See Fig 1.
  2. Loosen nut on tie rod. Adjust wheel toe-in by rotating steering tie rod. See Fig 2. For toe-in specifications, see SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES article in WHEEL ALIGNMENT.
  3. Ensure that ball joint is not twisted. Tighten tie rod clamping nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
