Removal & Installation

- Read out control unit fault memory and, if necessary, print out diagnostic trouble code.
- Load and block brake pedal with pedal support.
- Mark location of all brake lines at DSC hydraulic unit. Disconnect brake lines from DSC hydraulic unit and plug all openings.
- Unlock and disconnect plug connection on pressure sensor (1). Remove screws (2) and remove hydraulic unit. See Fig 1.
- Remove screws and remove bracket from DSC hydraulic unit.
- To install, reverse removal procedure.
- When installing screws and brake lines tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Using Diagnosis Information System (DIS) tester, perform function check on DSC unit, coding for control unit, adjustment of steering angle sensor, and end-of-tape test for new control unit.
- After completing work, bleed brake system. See BASIC BLEEDING PROCEDURES .
