Removal & Installation

NOTE: To illustrate more clearly, operation is shown on a removed steering column.

Remove lower section of steering column trim. See STEERING COLUMN TRIM (LOWER SECTION) .
Unfasten screws and disconnect plugs from gong and On-Board-Diagnosis. Remove instrument panel trim. See Figure .
Unfasten screws and twist plug out of mount and disconnect. Remove gear motor. See Fig 1 .
Remove shaft. See Fig 2 .
To install, reverse removal procedure.
